This Community Center is amazing and has so many wonderful programs!!
Me holding a block of peat, cut straight from the bog. The bog is so cool...made of 90% water and 10% decomposing plant and animal matter. Bog bodies that have been found, sometimes centuries later, are totally preserved, and skin takes on the look of polished wood! A display is in Dublin right now, but we won't be able to see them. It feels like a sponge, and when people jump it feels like a trampoline! The peat logs are stacked in little houses to dry, turned to dry more, bagged, and delivered to the elderly to burn for no-cost heating. The town smells like a big campfire from the fragrant smoke! Very interesting.

Railroad tracks here around the Ring of Kerry are going to be made into biking trails like in the Pacific Northwest!
